It consists of a reservoir, 50’ of tubing, and a 12” measuring staff. Just place the reservoir so that the top of the water in the reservoir is about 4” below the I-beam. Then take the measuring staff to your first point (it can be anywhere you want to start) and butt it up against the I-beam. Now move the scale to zero, this is now your reference point. Next go to each pier block and butt the measuring staff against the bottom of the I-beam and just read the scale. This reading will tell you how high or low this spot is compared to your reference point. Do this at all the points you want to measure and you’ll have a complete picture (make a map) of how out-of-level your mobile home is.
With this information you can then decide on how best to level your mobile home. Maybe you’ll want to jack up the mobile home and place shims (each cut to the thickness from your readings), then lower the mobile home and use the WatrLevel to check your work.
