The 2009 JLT & Associates Florida Region Manufactured Home Community rent survey summary has been released and can be read online at http://mfdhousing.com/portal/stories.php3?nid=8045 The surveys cover the twenty-six largest counties in Florida and include 500 "55+" communities with 141,235 homesites. The statewide occupancy rate decreased by .2% (-298 homesites) from May 2008 to May 2009. As of May 2009, the occupancy rate was 94%. None of the counties experienced a significant increases or decreases in occupancy from 2008 to 2009.
